Well, we have increased our fleet from two taxicabs to five.
Our growing fleet now includes three vans and two cars. Business has started to explode, and even though St. Augustine is a relatively small town, we simply didn’t have enough vehicles to take care of all our precious cargo.
With the additional cabs, we can focus more attention on World Golf Village, St. Augustine Shores and Crescent Beach, while also handling larger groups, wedding parties and transportation throughout St. Johns County.
At the time, Abraxi Taxi also provided airport transportation to Jacksonville International Airport, along with rides to Greyhound and Amtrak for travelers using buses and trains.
Don’t Forget the Locals
Of course, we wouldn’t have a viable taxi company without our local clientele.
The additional vehicles mean we can take care of more of our regular customers—and hopefully do it faster and more efficiently.
Tourism is enormously important to St. Augustine, but so are the people who make tourism possible: restaurant workers, bartenders, hotel employees, cooks, housekeepers and everyone else who needs reliable transportation to get to work and back home.
So thank you to the taxi riders of St. Augustine and St. Johns County.
We’re growing because you’ve kept calling.
Abraxi Taxi is now better equipped to serve our expanding tourist market—and, just as importantly, the locals who keep the Ancient City running.
Abraxi Taxi gets you where you need to go. And of more importance, gets you safely back home.
Archive note — 2026: This post has been lightly edited from the original Abraxi Taxi blog entry. Fleet size and transportation services described above reflect the company at the time the original article was published.
Abraxi Taxiom: Getting you there is only half the fare. Getting you safely home is the other.
